Disability.gov used to be an extremely complete, timely and helpful resource for finding assistance of many kinds for the disabled, their families and their caregivers. Unfortunately that website has been cancelled and is no longer accessible. If you type in the url you will be taken to a site of the Labor Department which is mostly about finding help to get a job. You can also see our article about [[:disability_grants|Disability Grants]] to find out more about help that is available.  +Though the government has chosen to eliminate the popular website disability.gov they still are providing current information about how to get help from the federal government if you or a loved one has a disability. It’s not as comprehensive as disability.gov was but at least it is providing an important service. It’s easy to navigate and you can get specific information organized by category and sub-categories. The major categories include help getting a job, finding housing, getting help with travel and transportation needs, health care support, education accessibility, the rights of students with disabilities and even the possibility of getting some of your student loans discharged. Other categories include Legal topics, resources specific to Tribes and Veterans and  more. read more about disability info on [[domain_discuss:usa.gov|usa.gov]]
